David Price vs. Sam Sexton

David Price v Sam Sexton: Aintree racecourse fight is a bout between two gentlemen says Frank Maloney

Frank Maloney has announced David Price and Sam Sexton will meet for the vacant British heavyweight championship at Liverpool's Aintree Racecourse on Saturday, May 19.
Liverpool fan Price saw his favourite football team end a six-year wait for a trophy by lifting the Carling Cup last week and his target is to end years of hurt for the city's biggest hitters.
For all Liverpool's fantastic fighting history, the city has never produced a British heavyweight champion - and Price can change all that. He will meet Sexton, from Norwich, for the belt vacated by Tyson Fury.
Price, bronze medallist at the Beijing Olympics four years ago, has earned his chance by winning all 12 fights and in January, a sell-out crowd at Liverpool's Olympia saw him wipe out John McDermott in just 73 seconds to earn his chance to wear the Lonsdale belt.
He will have the backing of his home crowd again - but that won't bother Sexton. Sexton twice silenced Martin Rogan's hostile Belfast supporters by busting up their local hero in Commonwealth-title fights with his ice-cool skills.
Sexton, also a former 'Prizefighter' champion, has got this title chance by outpointing 'War Machine' Larry Olubamiwo.
